Intended purpose
Bruening tonsil snare is intended for use by ENT surgeons to encircle and amputate tonsillar tissue during tonsillectomy or tonsil dissection procedures. The snare wire is placed around the tonsillar pedicle within the oropharynx. The snare wire is placed around the tonsil pedicle and tightened to amputate the tonsil. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
