Intended purpose
Laryngoscope handle is intended for use by anaesthetists and emergency physicians to provide the power source and grip for a direct laryngoscope. The handle accepts interchangeable laryngoscope blades for use in the oropharynx and larynx of paediatric patients undergoing laryngoscopy or orotracheal intubation. The handle connects to the blade via a standardised hook-and-bar fitting to provide reliable electrical contact for blade illumination. The handle is reusable and requires validated decontamination between uses.
